In one line

Grab it if most of your water happens in the car and you want a handle and a straw you can flip with one finger.

Look elsewhere if it rides on its side in a bag. Leak resistant is weaker wording than the Owala lock.

What to know about the Stanley IceFlow 2.0

The IceFlow is built for the commute: it sits in a console holder, has a handle and the flip straw means no unscrewing at a red light. The listing calls the base cup holder compatible. We still say measure, because holders differ.

Dimensions from the listing: 3.76 in by 9.76 in, 1.54 lb empty. The body is 18/8 recycled steel with a matte powder coat and a steel accent ring, and the care field says dishwasher safe.

Seals are where flip straws wear out, and here the spout comes off and the seal is replaceable. Check the price of the color you want before you buy.

Living with it

About the lead question

In early 2024 Stanley said the pellet that seals the vacuum at the base of its products contains some lead, covered by a stainless steel layer, and that no lead is on any surface that touches you or the drink. It added that a bottle whose base cap comes off can be replaced under warranty. Reports at the time noted no recall by the Consumer Product Safety Commission. If the bottom cap ever loosens, stop using the bottle and claim the warranty. Check the base cap now and then.

Tumbler or bottle

Amazon files this under tumblers, and the shape shows it: short, wide and stable. That suits a console and a desk, and suits a backpack side pocket less.

Spare parts

The seal is listed as replaceable, which matters more on a flip straw than on a screw cap, because the hinge sees the most use. A worn seal is the usual cause when a flip straw starts to drip.

Common questions

Is the material safe: lead, BPA, plastic?

Stanley states the base seal contains some lead under a steel layer, with none on surfaces that touch the drink. The listing describes 18/8 recycled steel and BPA-free parts. A loose base cap is a warranty claim.

How this plays out across all 10

Will it fit my car cup holder?

This is the one built for it. The listing says cupholder compatible and the base is 3.76 in, so it suits roomier holders, and a narrow one may need an expander.

Will it leak in my bag?

Stanley's own word is leak resistant. Snap the straw shut and keep the bottle upright, and it is fine in a car. In a bag on its side, choose a locking lid instead.

FAQ

How tall is the Stanley IceFlow 2.0, and how wide is the base?

9.76 in tall and 3.76 in across the base on the 10/28/2026 listing. The listing calls the base cupholder compatible. At 3.76 in it is the widest base in our set, so the claim depends on a holder with some give.

How much does the Stanley IceFlow 2.0 weigh full?

24.6 oz empty on the listing, so roughly 55.8 oz with all 30 oz of water inside. Full of water it comes to about three and a half pounds, most of it hanging from the handle.

Can the Stanley IceFlow 2.0 go in the dishwasher?

Yes, the listing says dishwasher safe. The spout pops off and the seal can be replaced, so a deep clean takes a minute.

Is the Stanley IceFlow 2.0 worth it?

Yes, if most of your water happens in the car and you want a handle and a straw you can flip with one finger.

What should I buy instead of the Stanley IceFlow 2.0?

it rides on its side in a bag. Leak resistant is weaker wording than the Owala lock.
