In one line

Grab it if you want a lid you open with one thumb, a bumper that stops desk clank and a bill under $30.

Look elsewhere if your car has narrow cup holders. At 3.74 in it is wider than the Hydro Flask, despite the listing's claim.

What to know about the Takeya Actives

Think of it as the quiet middle option. It has a real spout lid, a bumper that stops the clank on a desk and a price that stayed under $30 on the 32 oz Lilac listing in our scan.

Takeya does not appear in CleverHiker's June 2026 list, so there is no editor test behind it here. What we have is the listing: 24 hours cold, 18/8 steel, dishwasher safe, limited lifetime warranty.

The same 32 oz spout lid bottle varied by several dollars across four color listings in our scan. A straw lid version of the bottle was cheaper still, so read the lid name before you click.

Living with it

Read the lid name

Takeya sells this bottle with several lids, and the title of the listing we link skips the size. In our 10/27 scan the spout lid version varied by several dollars across four colors, while a straw lid version cost less than any of them. Check that the size selector says 32 oz and the lid says spout before you buy. Then check the color. A teal and a lilac of the same bottle were cents apart, while a citron green version cost about a quarter more than the cheapest one on the same day, which is a lot to pay for a shade.

The bumper

The removable rubber bumper is the detail you notice in an office. It quiets the bottle on a desk and takes the first hit when it falls. A separate silicone boot does the same job for bottles that ship without one.

Small details

The capacity is embossed on the body, the carry loop is a fixed hinged handle on the lid, and the lid has a textured band for grip. None of that shows in the photos, but it is all in the listing's spec table.

Price check

Our 10/27/2026 scan found 4 listings of the Takeya Actives at this size, and the color you pick moved the price noticeably. Pick the Takeya Actives color first.

Common questions

Will the lid get moldy, and can I clean it?

A spout lid has fewer hidden channels than a straw lid, which makes it one of the easier lids here to keep clean. Brush under the flip-up cover each week and let the lid dry open on a rack.

Will it leak in my bag?

The listing describes a spout lid that screws the bottle shut for a bag. Close the spout cover and its locking arm before it goes in a tote.

Will it fit my car cup holder?

Its base is 3.74 in. The listing still claims most car holders, so measure yours: anything under about 3.8 in will be a squeeze.

10.4 in tall and 3.74 in across the base on the 10/27/2026 listing. The listing says it fits most car cup holders. Against the others here, 3.74 in is one of the wider bases, so check before you count on it.

How much does the Takeya Actives weigh full?
